The CSB-Angelo King International Center in Malate, Manila was filled-up by some sixty (60) principals last July 3-5, 2008.
The principals from the various schools in the country participated with passion in the discussions spearheaded by the speakers from the University of California, Berkeley. They held their 4th Annual Convention with experts Dr. Michelle Collay, Dr. George Gagnon and Ms. Willie Santamaria.
Authentic Assessment, Leadership and Achieving Financial Growth”, these were the topics that captured the participants’ interests, minds and hearts.
It was Mr. Greg Navarro, an outstanding certified public accountant in the country who delivered the talk, stressing achievement through “strategymapping”.
Ms. Willie Santamaria, on the other hand, shared her experiences as a young principal in a foreign country before she became a superintendent in the United States. She emphasized how to handle teachers of different temperaments in dissimilar situations so as to come up with proper designing of authentic assessment.
